12月14日-17日,驻加拿大使馆经商处江山公参赴温哥华参加了中资企业座谈会,听取了中资企业在加经营情况。
江山公参及我驻温哥华总领馆商务处苑占领参赞还考察了BC省的Barriere市投资环境,会见了市长Bill Humphreys及其经济发展局局长Andrew Hayward,参观了该市的Gilbert Smith Forest Products Ltd木材加工企业。
加拿大统计局数据,2010年加向我国出口厚度超过6毫米的木材总金额6.78亿加元,较2009年增长110.5%,较2006年增长927.3%。2011年1-10月份,加向我国出口厚度超过6毫米的木材金额已达9.55亿加元,其中BC省向我国出口9.29亿加元木材,占全国出口木材总额的97.3%。
A delegation of Chinese dignitaries and investors paid a visit to Mike Wiegele’s Helicopter Skiing Resort on Dec. 15 and 16.
The delegation was touring the North Thompson Valley from Barriere to Blue River, and were being escorted by members of Simpcw First Nation and the District of Barriere.
In Blue River the visitors were given a helicopter tour of various projects in the area with Mike Wiegele, members of his staff and the area’s TNRD rep Willow MacDonald.
The Chinese delegation said they were most impressed with the opportunities available in the North Thompson Valley at this time.
